Dear Vons,
I am writing you today to tell you about my experiences as a shopper of your grocery stores. Being a bachelor that lives alone, I don't have a great deal of varied grocery needs and had frequently used 7-11 as my primary food stuffs outlet... although I recently met a lady who has inspired me to add some diversity into the things I eat. And so, I started making trips to Vons and trying to change things up with my eating habits. I'm proud to say that I now cook, experiment, and save money by starting with fresher ingredients. Thank you for that convenience.
There is something that's been bugging me, though. I have a Vons Club card, and I use it every time I shop in order to maximize savings. When I checkout using my card, the cashier will tear off the receipt and just sort of stare at it for a few awkward seconds. I know what they're doing... they're trained to thank everyone on a personal basis, such as "Thank you, Mr Johnson" or "Thank you, Mrs Smith". It's comforting and familiar... except when they don't know how to say your last name.
To make matters worse, my last name is spelled incorrectly for my account. There's a "C" where there should be an "L", and it really does make for a bizarre encounter.
"Thank you, Mister... Moooo... Moooooch... ahhh... Mooochearrhirihin."
I don't like that. I've purposely avoided certain cashier lines because I recognize the person as having spent a good 10 seconds fumbling over their own vowels during a previous encounter.
Can you change my last name for me on my account? Maybe to something more generic and easier to pronounce, like Daniel Normal. That'd help me out quite a bit.
Also, the Vons closest to my house runs out of fresh, Foster Farms boneless and skinless chicken breast steaks about once a week. I each chicken about once a day, so anything you could do to help remedy this would be much appreciated.
Thanks for all the help!
Mr Normal
